Hello to everyone! My name is Rob Kirkland and am from Houston, Texas. I would classify myself as a beginner and that's the reason I'm here. I've purchased quite a few of Ron's videos and have a few more on the way. It's great to be here and I hope to eventually be able to contribute in the future. I've been reading the forum for awhile and really enjoy reading what everyone contributes. This place is a great source of community and knowledge.

My interests range from being able to take care of myself while hiking, prepared for emergencies, and being more self-reliant.

adios,
Rob

Hello Rob! we're on the same boat! I'm a beginner too and I'm relying on these amazing people here and Ron's videos to learn as much as I can. Do not be too shy to ask any question these people are ready to answer to anything no matter how stupid it sounds (those who know are not allowed to talk :cursing:/> )

So welcome and it is a great pleasure to meet you!

--- Dario/ Blade

Ditto what the Grizz said about always needing another Texican on the forum. Keep a watch on the forum for the announcement about our Texas fall gathering. We have a lot of folks come out to share skills, ideas, interests, stories and just plain good food, companionship and fun. It will be coming up in October so watch for information.

I appreciate the welcome from everyone. This place is starting to feel more comfortable and homey.

adios,
Rob

Never ask a man if he's from Texas. If he's from Texas he'll let you know. If he's not, there's no sense in making him feel bad. :lol:/>

No, some of you came from the better part of our great nation & happen to be there because of other circumstances, not strictly by choice. I would like to say that while the Texas / California BS continues on this board, all in good fun I hope, I have not met a single Hoodlum, Californian or not, that I do not consider a brother in our Clan.
