Folks... that was spectacular. Thank you for your time and thoughts, imagination and in some cases, the artwork. You guys are amazing.

As far as votes go, Survival.com is the winner.

Karen and I also like the name, a lot. We have a lot of reasons for liking it now. Like a few folks pointed out, there are some negatives too but given the mockup covers I think we can all see that there is little chance someone will confuse this with a computer magazine or a balls out survivalist rag.

It is an honor to have you all help with this. You completely redirected our thoughts and refocused us on the project.

Karen and I are going to put some time into the payback for all of you. I'll letcha know what comes out of it. I suspect there will be more than one or two subscriptions and some other goodies as well.

In a month or so I'll let you all know how we are doing and start firing off some of the assignments for writers.

This is the debriefing/post-action thread so if you have thoughts, ideas, topics whatever... now is the time. Of course we will always entertain your ideas for topics and THAT does not need to be kept to this thread.

Ron

Awesome!

Karen and I like the one with the dot in the "L". It will help folks to distinguish between this magazine and one that made the rounds a decade or so ago... It is also uniquely our name.

So....

Thank you. We will be in touch... we need to chat about that first issue since it deals with fire...

Ron, thanks for allowing us to help.I found it to not only be fun but very educative. With all the great graphic involved, and all the input, it should be a winner.
It makes me humble to think that this is how such thing really start.Great ideas and great work everybody. :thumbsup:/> jj

I remember the various survival mags "of the day." Not perfect, but they supplied a desire. Now we have a need! I see much success, as a hole is about to be filled!
