Right now I am attending school to become an RN, I will have my degree in the end of August. I currently work on an Adult Behavioral Health floor (Psych ward) in a local hospital as a patient care tech, but will be given a nursing position when I pass my boards after August.
I broke up with my girlfriend of 5 1/2 years and am currently dating a fellow nursing student that is the love of my life. Having someone who actually shares interests, can carry an intelligent conversation, and who supports me has made a TREMENDOUS impact on my life. We currently live together in a tiny one bedroom apartment with her dog, and I haven't been happier. Ever.
I went through a big minimalism kick, got rid of 75% of my stuff, and now things are starting to re-accumulate again. Mostly backpacks and guns though so I can't complain.
I turned 21 and got my carry permit which has also had a huge impact on my life. I finally feel like I can walk out my front door and actually stand a chance.
I also recently upgraded my camera gear and now am shooting with a Canon 6D, which I cannot wait to use more!
I've had a lot going on and haven't had a chance to practice my skills much lately, but I have been trying to get back at it. Between work, school, and living the good life, I don't have time for a whole lot more.
So, here is to hoping to see some old familiar faces around! Peace to all, and I hope to be reading and posting more soon!

Little tip, don't carry your gun at work, the temptation to shoot one of your patients might be too great.
My sister works with these phych sorts and they can be very trying.
All the best watcher, and I'm glad to see you are doing well.

Working with crazies takes a special person of care and understanding. Its far more than watching someone do the "Thorazine Shuffle."
Being an RN surely rocks! Had a stab at being a COTA, but the medical classes waiting list was too, too long.
Hope my girlfriend situation ends up like yours, but I guess we gotta pay our "dues."
Old girlfriend had me get rid of stuff, now I realize she was the one who needed to go!
This forum and your other forum are what I consider the jewels of the internet survival forum experience. I can't leave out Blast also.
Most welcome again!

TN, my life is SOOO much better after leaving my old girlfriend. I felt like everyone important to me was going to hate me for it, but it turns out they were all pretty glad lol. Finally happy and it feels so good!
I love my job! Mentally ill people are the most insightful people I have ever met.

I passed my boards and am an RN now, the pay raise didn't suck.
Bought a 2011 Subaru Outback and love it.
We got a new dog, she's 13 weeks old now. Australian shepard/hound mix.
I'm part of a local survival school. We're small, haven't taught many classes, but we're having fun with it.
Peace all, looking forward to being back on the forum!
