Not sure where my first one is but decided to get a second of one of my favorite knives with deer season coming up

Steel Will knives are a bit pricey but are well made and use quality steel and components. I believe they are made in Italy.

I don't consider them expensive https://www.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_store.html?ttl=Steel%20Will%20Druids&brand=521&cat=SMG&k=druid&series=3152

I stand corrected Scotty our local knife store must have some kind of deluxe models, they want a lot more.
I didn't check on line I don't shop much on line any more

I looked them up.  Some of their knives are expensive for full production knives in their size range, but their Taiwan-made line is not.

Generally European-made knives aside from SAKs and Moras cost more than they seem to be worth, but from what I hear from some Europeans, American brands cost much more for them than they do for us.

It is probably related to trade regulations.  I remember maybe 10 years ago the Boker Applegate line suddenly doubled in price.

How well does this knife draw from the sheath when not tied down?

The difficulty in drawing is what makes several of Cold Steel's small knives pretty useless IMO.

You mean pocket carry with retention string in belt ? Neck carry ?

They make a small very light weight one with what looks like the same subhilt big enough to use with shootingmitts in retrevial type motion https://www.knifecenter.com/item/SMG283/steel-will-druid-283-fixed-228-drop-point-blade-skeletonized-handles-kydex-sheath

Pocket carry without retention or with slight retention such as on a key chain, just snapping the sheath off with thumb pressure.

Even the Cold Steel Mini Tac works with a retention string.
