Hi y'all,  I've been thinking about Ron reciently and rewatched a few of my VHS videos from my collection.  It sure brought back a lot of fond memories.  I'm happy to see the forum still online.  I've got some catching up to do.  I hope to contribute in the future.
Merry Christmas!

Hoodlums, its great to be back. I have been working very hard to help develop my inner nerd. Here I am a guy who loves traditional manual devices  and face to face communication working as a network engineer. Even worse I have taken and completed the Certified Ethical  Hacker Course and  it almost scared me out of ever having any kind of web presence.  Since I last posted on the old forum, I have had two kids graduate college and move out, built a new house, and started thinking very seriously about finding a place to hide while the rest of the world goes down the drain. I hope to be able to spend more time here, contribute and "borrow" ideas from the rest of the hoodlum clan.

Ah good to see you back.
You seem to be doing well. I guessed you would when the last time we met with Luke you refused to drink because you had to rise in the morning early - or some such reason.
I wish I had your willpower. Big Grin

Then my laptop went FUBAR and it has taken me some time to get a new one. I was also very sick and my meds cost an arm and half a leg. Finally seem to be regulated and stable, so all is good now!!!

Limey Pete - I am delighted to be back also!!! I have really MISSED reading of all your overseas adventures!! I am looking in to retiring outside of the USA in a couple of years. Thinking about Ecuador or maybe Costa Rica or maybe Thailand. Would love to know your thoughts on some good places.

K-Gal
Ah missed this one Kailyst.
I do not know much about Costa Rica apart from it is part of the US someway, and I think they use US dollars there.
I might be wrong.
Ecuador, no do not know much about Ecuador.
Now Thailand, having been in residence for a few years now, I do not recommend any woman coming here, even though it is quite safe for women. The reason is that the oriental wenches are so free with their favors that any western woman could probably walk along the street stark naked and not be molested.
For some western women this may be a disappointment; however I feel sure you are not one of those sort, Kailyst.
Harvey Weinstein could molest ten women a day here (if he had the energy) and would not suffer the indignity of his victims announcing to the world their horror, shame, and shock, of being molested, (ten years ago.) Such is the state of affairs in this heathen country; however they have many lovable customs.
For instance they always smile when caught overcharging a foreigner’s bill.
They are lively fun loving people and delight in screeching out Thai karaoke at three o’clock in the morning, and keeping a fellow such as I from falling asleep after two hours studying the migration habits of the natterjack toad.
Nevertheless even a late night for a Thai does not prevent them from shattering the peace of the dawn with an angle grinder, or a hammer drill, or if they do not have either, they will bang a metal bar on steel to destroy what they hate – peace and silence.
Er no, I do not recommend Thailand for you Kailyst.
