Is This Pot Good For Anything?
#1
Friends,

I don't eat popcorn…

Yeah, one day I was struck by how much my mother's greasy homemade popcorn resembled a bunch of greasy cigarette butts (both my parents smoked unfiltered) and It just never looked appetizing after that…

At any rate, we have a popcorn popper that was about to be thrown away.

The top is long gone. The "Pan" seems to be stainless steel. It is maybe 10" in diameter and about 8" deep.

I rescued it from almost being thrown away twice.

I used it to cook soup on the stove twice. The metal is very thin and stuff burns easily.

Could I use it on the trail either as the stove or as the pot on top of the stove?

I don't think that the bottom is any thinner than a coffee can's…

Or should I fill it with dirt and plant geraniums in it?

Depends on the type/kind/make/year.... that part might be coated with anti-stick coating.

There you go.... <img src='http://hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

There are just too many good options for a wilderness cook kit to trust something like that.

Is it big enough to be worn as a protective hat while climbing in the mountains?
