A New Culinary Treat For Your Pack
Tired of noodle, noodle, instant noodles, while out in the wilderness, well they is a alternative.

Sachets or paper tubs of Jok, available from Knorr.

I like the Thai breakfast of rice soup, with some minced pork, grated ginger and an egg, Jok they call it.

However I have to go a long way to buy it from a street stall, so I was delighted to see it is now on sale in the Seven/Eleven.

Knorr Jok in a tub. Just add hot water .

Very tasty but it has very little pork, and no ginger and egg.

Add you own egg and ginger. drop a raw egg into the hot Jok, and leave it a few minutes to cook.

It is also for sale in sachets, so sit on a mat on your balcony, if you have one, and start the day as a Thai does.

One more thing.

The Knorr tub does not have of much Jok in it, so it would be better to buy two sachets and make them up in a bowl.

Maybe available in China town, and certainly available online.

Looks like a congee (chinese) or lugaw (filipino)?

sounds a helluva lot better than noodles or instant noodles! <img src='<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I'll be trying this for sure.
