Zombie Extermination
Remember the humble Molotov cocktail! Don't forget the oil, it makes it a cocktail and not just a a glass of vodka! <img src='http://www.hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> It also helps spread the love.
Fire+Zombies= Burning zombies = BAD

Sheesh Muddy. You would know this if you read the zombie survival guide or played Call of Duty World At War's Zombie level and tried to use the flamethrower.

so disappointed.

All kidding aside. Ultimate anti-zombie gun would be the Ruger 10-22 with drum mags a plenty. Accurate (headshots) light weight and high capacity. Max Brooks says so himself.

Though the choices are vast the simple truth is theres nothing a good tank cant fix when it comes to zombies, Lacking a tank I will have to go for the steel reinforced hummer with mounted machine gun. On foot I would be a fan of speed, those lumbering zombies cant out run a ghetto dweller. Now on those rare occasions you do get those European running rage zombies I again would favor heavy metal and a sharp blade. ( road paver's are on my list of things to A-team before heading into the fray.) The best thing I have found though is to have them follow me into a dead end and getting lifted out so I can drop heavy things on them, why waist ammo, need it for hunting the undead animals they move faster. My many years of zombie watching have lead me to believe they are already hear you just haven't realized it yet. (those drones we call sheepel) That being said watching enough prime time TV will make you appear as they do so don't forget to listen to your local media coverage until your eyes glaze over, before venturing out. If that doesn't work for you just watch coverage of the house or senate debate and they will defiantly think you one of them. Stealth over Stupidity is the key to surviving any good zombie raid.

I found a four leaf clover

In my yard today.

It had one leaf missin' off it,

But that was okay.

Four is just one more than three,

And that's close enough for me.

With all due respect to good brother Tack, burning them off the walls works well provided that your fortifications are built with fire in mind. In a non-contained or non-massed situation, flaming zombies are not good. Sorry for my failure to elaborate on context.

The book mentioned is World War Z by Max Brooks (son of Mel) and the Zombie Survival guide (also Brooks.) Like most survival guides, it has a lot of information that is a good start but not the end all. Much is re-printed from old military manuals. It doesn't mean it's wrong or even right, just right for the needs of the military. As is usual for the Corps, they improvised and then type classified a good purpose built tool for Zombie fights (See Brooks: Lobotomizer aka Senior Lobo). I didn't mention it because not everyone knows WWZ. Then there is the SIR...

Note I didn't mention massed fire, I've been to Yonkers.

Romero acknowledges Brooks with vigor.

Communication is a Survival Skill! So is critical thinking!

When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything—you can't conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him.

I still consider the type II a POS, much like the Type IV. Damn near lost the Empire due to those. Type III all the way! Half the thermal dets were built by cheap labor from the outer planets, you get what you pay for!

Thanks Muddy! I have read WWZ, but I was laid up in bed and don't remember many details other than the general storyline and a section about listening to "The Trooper" while taking headshots. I'll have to go check it out again and find a copy of the ZSG.

(It's loads of fun without the zombies, anyway.)
