I like woodworking, make some cabinets, tables, little things for the kids and such, I used to play (yeah yeah say what you want) Dungeons and Dragons not anymore though... I, like you Mako, paint warhammer, or at least used to when I lived in italy here I would have to order everything online, bc there are no stores that sell those so.... too bad. Then a friend started me on airplane models, they're fun, if you guys think of doing that, don't do big planes, way too much of a pain. I play soccer from time to time, and soon I'll be starting knife making, I recently completed the forge (i'll make a detailed post on how I've made it,with pics ) now I'm waiting for burners to come in the mail and then I'll start heat treating practice. I like reading, (mostly fantasy books) and that's pretty much it... <img src='http://www.hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

cool topic...

What kind of world do we live in where a man like me

can have a home, a wife, and four kids?

My wife says I've gone feral.

I think her assessment is conservative.

Past three years I've been into bowyery. Past year or so I took up flintknapping. Very shortly I will have enough deer hides to try my hand at braintanning and drum making ( WOOHOO!!). Painting, pencil and ink drawing on and off for about thirty two years. Study of history interests me. Anthropology somewhat. Archaeology somewhat. Botony. Lots of reading.

They let me go out and play to do guy stuff about every other weekend and I am thankful. That guy stuff is mostly shooting/hunting/woods realated: making holsters, learning to shoot a bow, digging a hole for the planned outhouse, stupid stuff with no direction or timelines... simply glorious <img src='http://www.hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Music of all types. I did it professionally when I lived in the city, but it's technically a hobby now. Drums, bass, keyboards, etc. Recording, producing, engineering etc...

Radio broadcasting. I helped design and build a small community FM station here and do a weekly original music show with my dad as co-host, as well as an Eastern Philosophy show with the local gongfu Master.

Martial arts. Studied Aikido for several years, now 8 Shadows Fist gongfu and old frame Chen Taiji primarily, but always learning from wherever possible.

I've spent most of the summer in the woods & my new hobbies are flint knapping, skinning & smoking rabbits, & bowmaking. Haven't got a little furry critter with my own bow yet, still working on that part. BTW after 5 months of outdoor living a hot shower is like heaven <img src='http://www.hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />,

"Then I remembered: America is afraid of cap guns, which no longer exist. Of bottle rockets and pocketknives and Islamo-Mahmuds curled beneath the bed. And America is afraid of children.
