Most people would not know what one is, much less how to use it.  I have used one, but I much prefer a chain saw.  Smile

My grandfather had two, I know, possibly three of them, and I wish I had at least one of them, but I don't know where they went.  His daughter wanted everything and, by & large, she got most of what she wanted, but I don't remember her getting the cross-cut saws.  Now, you have got me thinking & wondering about them & where they went.

I have the cross cut my grandfather built his log house with. It isn't going anywhere.

I have several, a couple one man saws and a few two man saws, bucking and felling. When I was a kid my father taught us how to sharpen and maintain them.
