Tm03 Tiny Monster
#1
for personal safety dealing with 24 hours in a day in NPE .. Dad told me to buy something ridiculous for my birthday so I did. needs a pocket clip. Going to explore it for a NPE use 2800 lumens on high. Not sure it will really beat my 35 dollar BC 25 SE that also have pressure switch option.

Who would have ever thought flashlight technology would have developed to its present state. Just look at some space movies with those big ole flashlights they carry.
Message of Insight and Unity

We go into the wilderness to fulfill our hearts and empty our minds of life's garbage.
The gear we leave behind and the challenges we encounter,
Are methods we use to cleanse our spirits.
Of Survivalists and Bushcrafters, Primitive Technologists too, we are one.........

It is the wilderness within, we strive for first and always.
Not everyone can have a cabin in the mountains.
The thread that connects us, is fine like silk and strong as steel.
Together, the song of the wilderness is the song we sing!

"And can I say something else?"
Bushcrafting is "doing what you want to do."
Survival is "doing what you have to do"
Primitive Technology is about all of the above........

love me those Jetbeam BC 25 se at around 1000 lumens on high and the lower setting is great for working at night as a headlamp.

Not sure this TM03 will fit me but worth exploring for non permissive environments (right now BC 25 se go with me)

I have a Fenix PD35 and it has 3 levels not quite as bright but enough to send tweekers over the deep end. <img src='http://hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':whistling:' />
Hopefully the S won't HTF and I pray every day that it won't. It would not be fun.

nice does that have a remote pressure switch?

I like the interface of the JEtbeam bc25 se, I normally just keep it on high exiting the house and in NPE.

working at night I keep it on the lower setting which allows me to see quite well and own the night.

The on off switch is in the butt cap and the variable brightness switch is on the barrel just behind the head. It has three levels of brightness and like you, I keep it on the lowest setting. It has o-rings sealing the cap ends and takes 2 CR123A batteries which are expensive but a small price to pay for quality.

The aluminum tube is a little wider than a size 12 palm and makes it a great PET pressure enhancement tool for CQP a close relative of CQB and stands for, you guessed it!!

Same lumens icon with light battery cindition poor tactical use heavier 4 regular 18650 batteries affordable in dpci but you have 100 dollar minimum order there and shipping . Tm03 better tactical use more money lighter weight and size . Pdw size with rifle power

Mine is a Tiny Monster TM16GT

New Pocket light seeking to displace my Foursevens Preon P1 is the D.Q.G. Tiny 18650 model 4 which uses salvaged from laptop battery packs flat ended 18650 Lithium cells, specs say 350 hours on low with a 3200 mAh 18650, most of my salvaged cells are between 2000 mAh and 2800 mAh after Refreshing on a Smart Charger.

This new little light creates a lot of heat on turbo and may end up suitable to use as a fire starter, but on low and Medium it is very useable, I have both the cool white and the next warmer (more yellow), both lights can permanently damage your vision if shined into your face/eyes, the warmer colored light is (I Think) safer to use around kids and Dogs (animals in general)

I will have to check out the Tiny Monster. I have Ron's small super bright light he carried with him in his front pocket of his pants and it still works and is still the brightest I have seen. Will have to look up the name of it. Can't remember it offhand but was a major brand at the time. But I do have to say it was like $125 or so at the time. Whoo hoo!

Ron's was an O-Light. I think it was the T-10. I love it and I still take it everywhere with me. But I am always looking for new cool stuff.

This flashlight technology is amazing - but when you're running a wilderness camp with 17 9-12 year olds and their parents have all bought them strobing nuclear eye-ball melting lights we started to ban them for all but outhouse trips in the middle of the night. The kids were fascinated with my old PAL light with its dim always on glow. enough to see by in the darkness.
